Reference Service, Interlibrary Access
Can't find a book you're looking for? Need to know how to gather the materials you need to write your report or graduation thesis? Librarian at the Central Library will be glad to answer any questions you have on matters such as finding books or journals and using databases.
If you need materials that are not in the Central Library, we offer you access to other universities' libraries in the form of making photocopies of materials, obtaining materials for you to check out, and granting you permission to visit and use these other libraries.
For faculty members, your seminar students can sign up for workshops where they will learn about library services.

Reference Service
1. Reference Service within the Library
To assist you in your studies or research, librarian will answer any questions you have regarding finding materials and using databases.

Hours
During regular school term: 9:00–19:00 (Mon.–Fri.)
During school vacation period: 9:00–17:00 (Mon.–Fri.)
- If there are no staff members at the Reference counters, inquire at the main counter.
2. Reference Service and Answers Via Email
In response to your questions via email, librarian can search the library collections, literature, and other databases.

Who Can Email Questions
Kindai University undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff
- There may be some questions that we cannot answer.
- Only undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff affiliated with the main campus of Kindai University can email questions.
Interlibrary Loan Services
1. Requesting Photocopies of Literature
If you need materials such as research papers that are not in the Kindai University libraries, we can get copies of these for you from the libraries of other universities (institutions).
You will be charged for copies (from 10 to 60 yen per page) and postal fees.
2. Checking Out Books
If you need to check out materials that are not in the Kindai University libraries, we can get these for you from the libraries of other universities (institutions).
You will be charged postal fees.
3. Visiting and Using Other Universities' Libraries
If you wish to visit and use the library of another university (institution), we can notify that university and provide you with an introduction letter.
