National Diet Library Digital Collection Transmission Service
Kindai University offers access to the digital collection transmission service provided by the National Diet Library.
Read the following information before using this service.
Service Overview
The National Diet Library stores a large collection of digitized materials (2.28 million items). You can use a dedicated terminal located in the Central Library to view the full text of books and other items in this collection not accessible by the general public via the Internet and which are difficult to get because of being out-of-print (1.31 million items).
- When searching the National Diet Library Digital Collections, eligible documents are those marked "Available only at the NDL and partner libraries."

Location Where Access Is Available
Third floor help counter (one dedicated terminal), Central Library
Hours
Weekdays: 9:00–17:00
- Not available Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and regular closed days.
Eligible Users
Undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and staff of Kindai University
- Alumni and members of the general public are not permitted to use this service.
Accessible Materials
From the digital collection of the National Diet Library, materials marked "Available only at the NDL and partner libraries."
Viewing
Present your student card, employee card, or library card to the staff at the main counter on the 3rd floor of the Central Library.
A staff member will log in to the dedicated terminal, after which you may use it to browse the materials.
As a general rule, usage time is limited to one hour or less.
Downloading digital images, saving them to USB flash drives, or using a camera to photograph the screen are not permitted.
Copying
Copying within the scope of copyright protection is available for materials whose access restriction classification is "Available only at the NDL and partner libraries."
If this material is held in the collection of a Kindai University library, as a general rule, copies should be made directly from the original printed document.
Since library staff will do the copying, use the prescribed application form available at the help counter and fill in the bibliographic information and frame number of the requested material.
Application via My Library is also possible, but be sure to enter "National Diet Library digital collection transmission service" in the "Other Remarks/Message" field of the application form.
Copying fees-
Single-sided B&W copies: 10 yen per page; single-sided color copies: 50 yen per page.
In general, copied materials will be delivered the following day.
